White Sage Smudge Bundle

Salvia apiana, cut and bound into a hand-sized bundle with plain cotton thread and dried slowly so the leaves keep their silver-grey colour. White sage is central to the ceremonial practice of a number of Indigenous nations of the American Southwest, and wild stands have been under real pressure from commercial picking. This lot is farm-grown on cultivated ground rather than wild-harvested, and we hold the grower record for it. Lit at one end, allowed to flame briefly, then blown out so it smoulders. Use a heatproof dish and a ventilated room.

Apply a small amount to the pulse points — wrist, neck or behind the ear. Attars are undiluted, so one pass of the roll-on is enough; the scent opens over the first twenty minutes and settles close to the skin. For burners and incense, use in a ventilated room on a heatproof surface and never leave anything lit unattended.

Care

Keep dry and loosely wrapped. A damp bundle will not hold a smoulder.
