Agarwood Dhoop Sticks

A bambooless dhoop, which means the whole stick is the material and there is no splint burning alongside it. Agarwood powder is worked with halmaddi, the soft grey resin tapped from the Ailanthus tree, until the paste holds its shape, then extruded and dried in shade for several days. The result is dense and slow, closer to burning wood than to burning perfume, and it leaves a fine pale ash rather than a hard core. Supplied in a card box with a paper liner. Burn on a heatproof plate in a ventilated room.

Apply a small amount to the pulse points — wrist, neck or behind the ear. Attars are undiluted, so one pass of the roll-on is enough; the scent opens over the first twenty minutes and settles close to the skin. For burners and incense, use in a ventilated room on a heatproof surface and never leave anything lit unattended.

Care

Store cool and sealed. Halmaddi softens in heat and the sticks will bend if the box is left in sun.

Unopened items can be returned within seven days of delivery. For reasons of hygiene, opened attars, oils, powders and any item with a broken seal cannot be returned unless the item arrived damaged.
