Brass Oil Diya — Pair
Cast brass lamps with a drawn lip for the wick. Sold empty, for oil and a cotton wick.
70 in stock
Two cast brass diyas with a drawn lip at one side to hold the wick clear of the oil, which is the detail that separates a lamp meant for use from a lamp meant for a shelf. Cast in Moradabad, turned to finish and left unlacquered so the metal darkens honestly with use rather than flaking. Filled with sesame or any household lamp oil and lit with a cotton wick; both are sold separately here. Supplied as a pair in a card box. Sold empty — no oil, no ghee and no wick in the box. Place on a heatproof surface and never leave a lit lamp unattended.
Apply a small amount to the pulse points — wrist, neck or behind the ear. Attars are undiluted, so one pass of the roll-on is enough; the scent opens over the first twenty minutes and settles close to the skin. For burners and incense, use in a ventilated room on a heatproof surface and never leave anything lit unattended.
External use only. Not a medicine.
Materials
Cast brass, unlacquered. Card box with a paper insert.
Care
Wash out old oil with warm water and dry fully or the residue goes rancid. Tarnish is expected; lemon and salt brings the shine back.
