Brass Incense Tray

A flat brass tray with a raised lip and two stick holes set at one end, long enough that a full-length stick sheds its ash inside the tray rather than onto the table. The lip is the useful detail: most incense trays are flat, and flat trays let ash slide off when they are carried. Unlacquered brass, so it will darken with heat and handling over time. Sits under a burner just as well as it holds sticks. Wipes clean with a dry cloth.

Apply a small amount to the pulse points — wrist, neck or behind the ear. Attars are undiluted, so one pass of the roll-on is enough; the scent opens over the first twenty minutes and settles close to the skin. For burners and incense, use in a ventilated room on a heatproof surface and never leave anything lit unattended.

Wipe out ash when cool. Polish with a brass cloth if you want the shine back.
