Brass Bakhoor Burner

A cast brass burner with a pierced dome lid, sized for a standard 33mm charcoal disc. The bowl is lined so the base stays cool enough to sit on a table, though a trivet is still sensible. The lid lifts off entirely rather than hinging, which makes it easier to place a tablet without reaching over live charcoal. Unlacquered brass, so it will develop a patina; left alone it goes a deep warm brown, and it polishes back with a brass cloth if you would rather it did not.

Apply a small amount to the pulse points — wrist, neck or behind the ear. Attars are undiluted, so one pass of the roll-on is enough; the scent opens over the first twenty minutes and settles close to the skin. For burners and incense, use in a ventilated room on a heatproof surface and never leave anything lit unattended.

External use only. Not a medicine.

Materials

Cast brass body and pierced lid, lined bowl.
