Brass Aarti Thali Set — 7 Piece
An engraved brass thali with diya, bell, incense stand, kumkum bowls and a camphor cup.
35 in stock
The tray and everything that stands on it: an engraved brass thali, a diya, a small bell, an incense stand, two bowls for kumkum and akshat, and a long-handled camphor cup. Spun and engraved in Moradabad, which has worked brass since the seventeenth century and still supplies most of the temple metal in northern India. Left unlacquered, so it tarnishes and comes back with cleaning rather than peeling. Seven pieces packed in a card box with a paper tray. Supplied empty — no camphor, no wicks and no powders in the box.
Apply a small amount to the pulse points — wrist, neck or behind the ear. Attars are undiluted, so one pass of the roll-on is enough; the scent opens over the first twenty minutes and settles close to the skin. For burners and incense, use in a ventilated room on a heatproof surface and never leave anything lit unattended.
External use only. Not a medicine.
Materials
Spun and engraved brass, unlacquered. Card box, paper tray.
Care
Clean with tamarind, or lemon and salt, then rinse and dry fully. Standing water spots the engraving.
