Ubtan is the powder that gets made in Indian households before a wedding, and this is the plain version of it: chickpea flour for the body, turmeric for colour and scent, sandalwood and a little rose petal ground through it. Mixed with water, milk or yoghurt into a paste, left on the skin briefly and rinsed off. Because nothing here is preservative-loaded, it is sold dry and only ever wetted in the quantity being used. Packed in a paper pouch with a scoop. Cosmetic and topical use only.
Apply a small amount to the pulse points — wrist, neck or behind the ear. Attars are undiluted, so one pass of the roll-on is enough; the scent opens over the first twenty minutes and settles close to the skin. For burners and incense, use in a ventilated room on a heatproof surface and never leave anything lit unattended.
External use only. Not a medicine.
Chickpea flour, turmeric, sandalwood powder, rose petal powder. Kraft paper pouch.
Keep the pouch sealed and dry. Mix only what is needed; do not store wetted paste.
