Vetiver root distilled slowly into sandalwood. Cool, green and dry, with a long close finish.
Khus is the washed root of vetiver grass, dug after the rains and distilled slowly because the aromatic compounds sit deep in the fibre. The run takes far longer than a flower attar and yields far less, which is why khus has always been the quiet luxury of the Indian summer. On a sandalwood base it reads cool and green at first, then dries down to something closer to damp earth and cut grass. Alcohol-free throughout. Supplied in a glass roll-on with a screw cap. Cosmetic and topical use only.
Apply a small amount to the pulse points — wrist, neck or behind the ear. Attars are undiluted, so one pass of the roll-on is enough; the scent opens over the first twenty minutes and settles close to the skin. For burners and incense, use in a ventilated room on a heatproof surface and never leave anything lit unattended.
External use only. Not a medicine.
Vetiver root oil on a sandalwood oil base. Glass bottle, aluminium cap.
Store upright, away from heat and direct sun. Close the cap fully after use.
