Olive & Laurel Hammam Soap

A cold-process soap of olive oil and laurel berry oil, made the way Aleppo soap has always been made and cured for months until the outside goes pale gold while the inside stays green. Laurel is what gives it the distinctive smell and the slightly slick lather; the higher the laurel percentage the softer the bar and the shorter the shelf life. Each bar is hand-cut, stamped and wrapped in paper. It lasts noticeably longer than a commercial bar if kept on a draining dish. External use only.

Apply a small amount to the pulse points — wrist, neck or behind the ear. Attars are undiluted, so one pass of the roll-on is enough; the scent opens over the first twenty minutes and settles close to the skin. For burners and incense, use in a ventilated room on a heatproof surface and never leave anything lit unattended.

Olive oil, laurel berry oil, sodium hydroxide (saponified). Paper wrap.

Care

Keep on a draining dish between uses. A bar left in standing water will soften fast.

Unopened items can be returned within seven days of delivery. For reasons of hygiene, opened attars, oils, powders and any item with a broken seal cannot be returned unless the item arrived damaged.
